Sorry to say Datel will probably lose this lawsuit and end up paying
in the long run trying to prove they didn't participate in corporate
espionage. The xbox 360 is a proprietary piece of hardware like a
Nintendo Wii or a Sony PS3 and unless Datel was contracted by
Microsoft to produce their patented 1st party memory units then their
product is nothing more than a widget that just happens to work on an
xbox 360.

What will happen is Datel is going to end up with a counter-suit
claiming they reverse engineered MS intellectual property to make a
profit, which is the absolute truth. Nintendo went through this same
process with 3rd parties making memory units and other accessories
based on their official products for years. I don't know why Sony
hasn't come forward to protect their own line, but their last-place
status this generation suggests they don't want to bite the hand of
the mouth that might feed them next generation.

Yes because what we want as consumers is a complete monopoly on
everything so we have no alternatives for our dollar.

MS will lose this one , I hope.

Interstiting... Do you REALLY think that microsoft will loose this
lawsuit ?

Come on, Datel will exit from this with his bones finely breaked,
believe me...Datel's purpose is over, since they can't do no more
cheating devices for 360 or PS3.

Does anyone remember when Nintendo tried to stop unlicensed 3rd party games
on the NES? Didn't they lose out on that one?

Datel comes to mind with those Quattro games (4 games on 1 cartridge).

I personally would like to see Datel win, as I like them. I hope to see
Dizzy on Live!

Sega lost
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sega_v._Accolade
But all I could find for Nintendo was that Atari couldn't prove that they
didn't cheat when revesere enginering the NES10 chip.
